UnityPoint Health Venture’s Austin Duke and ThedaCare’s Dr. Imran Andrabi will both be joining the board.

First announced by President Trump on Friday as a nationwide resource, the testing-referral service already seems to have reached its capacity among California's Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.

The program will be looking at providing resources to individuals with substance-abuse disorder in North Carolina. 

The iRhythm Technologies founder's new startup will use these funds to wrap up clinical testing of its device, and push toward a commercial launch.

The development comes as officials advise GPs to switch, where possible, to remote consultations as part of their response to the threats posed by the coronavirus.

Dr. Amy Compton-Phillips, chief clinical officer for Providence St. Joseph Health, talks about the use of chatbots, telemedicine and drive-thru clinics in treating the virus.

The funds will help the New York City-based platform extend its growth and deliver new product offerings.

The new funds will be used to expand its coverage outside of New York.
