Revenue cycle services company Conifer Health Solutions, a subsidiary of Tenet Healthcare, is collaborating with Google Cloud to add AI at scale to its revenue cycle management platform.

Conifer provides revenue cycle and population health management services to hospitals and health systems, physician practices, employers and unions.

The company said it is developing an AI platform built on Google Cloud that will be integrated into its workflows.

The platform aims to enhance innovation across each phase of the revenue cycle, such as patient access, insurance and eligibility, revenue integrity and accounts receivable management.

"Combining our deep expertise in revenue cycle management with Google Cloud’s advanced AI capabilities enables us to not only enhance our revenue cycle management but also redefine what’s possible in healthcare," Deepali Narula, COO for Conifer Health Solutions, told MobiHealthNews.

"Together, we're committed to driving stronger financial outcomes for our clients while ensuring that patients receive the exceptional care they deserve."

THE LARGER TREND

Last year, Conifer Health Solutions announced it was continuing its partnership with Dartmouth Health via a multi-year agreement.

Conifer serves as the exclusive provider of end-to-end revenue cycle management services for Dartmouth Health’s hospitals, physician services and other associated entities.

In October, at Google Cloud's healthcare roundtable, industry experts discussed data from a new report on the return of investment on generative AI and how the technology is transforming healthcare organizations.

"For the past years, the industry conversation has shifted. Healthcare executives are now focused on both ROI and responsible deployment," said Aashima Gupta, global director of healthcare strategy and solutions for Google Cloud.

He added that leaders are making huge bets on the technology, with 46% reporting that their organization is assigning more than 50% of their future AI budget to AI agents.

That same month, Adtalem Global Education launched a thorough AI credential program targeting healthcare professionals at scale, reaching students and practicing clinicians across its institutions and partner health systems.

Via the strategic partnership with Google Cloud, Adtalem aims to deliver curriculum powered by Google Cloud's AI technology, which provides students with experience with tools reshaping clinical practice.

The partnership also provided Adtalem with Google Cloud’s full AI-optimized tech stack.
