New York-based virtual primary care provider K Health announced a partnership with the state's largest healthcare provider, Northwell Health, to power its virtual primary care platform, Northwell Primary Care Now.

K Health is an AI-enabled virtual care provider offering primary care, urgent care, mental health services and medical weight management.

The company's AI platform is designed to ease clinical workflows by having patients complete an AI-led intake, which is then combined with EMR data to generate a medical chart that gives providers personalized insights.

The offering enables primary care patients to connect with the health system's clinicians through Northwell Primary Care Now and secure same-day appointments anytime, 24/7.

Patients will undergo an intake through an AI that will determine if the individual needs virtual or in-person care. They will then be connected to a Northwell clinician.

"The K Health technology will be available to millions of patients across numerous health system partnerships that K Health has formed across the country. The partnership with Northwell represents a tremendous opportunity to change primary care for the better of patients and providers," Ran Shaul, cofounder and chief product officer at K Health, said in a statement.
